What we collect — and don't

PathToFinal is anonymous-first. There's no login, no profile, no third-party trackers selling your data.

What we store when you publish a prediction

• Your name — displayed on your public bracket page.
• Email (optional) — only if you ask us to email you when the tournament starts. Never sold or shared.
• A hashed IP address — one-way HMAC-SHA256, used only for rate-limiting to prevent abuse. The raw IP is never written to disk.
• The bracket itself — your group rankings, knockout picks, and (in Advanced mode) scorelines.

What we don't do

• No third-party analytics — no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no ad tracking.
• No cookies beyond a basic session cookie that keeps your wizard progress in your own browser.
• No selling, renting, or sharing of any personal information.

Public pages are public

Anyone with your share link (/p/{slug}) can view your bracket. Slugs are random 6-8 characters — not enumerable — so links stay private to those you share with.
